[Editor’s Note: The weekly Bass Fishing Archives Monday Trivia Contest, sponsored by Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits, has proven to be a bit harder to win than we initially thought. So, in order to help contestants a little bit, every one of the answers to the contest can be found in the books, magazine and/or web articles listed in each contest. If you’ve got the magazines and books, they should only require a bit of research. If not, they may prove a little harder to figure out, unless you have a photographic memory.]
Two weeks ago Brian penned a great piece about Nick Taylor’s book “Bass Wars” on the 25th anniversary of its publication – including input from the author and from longtime pro angler Randy Blaukat. It’s a book I reread nearly every year and each time through I’m amazed by some little snippet or factoid that I’d forgotten.
This week’s trivia contest is a test of your reading comprehension skills. In order to win, all you need to do is answer the following four questions about minutiae from Taylor’s book:
- Rick Clunn was quoted as stating that which one of his competitors was “the lousiest best-known fisherman I know”?
- Why was Clunn reportedly perturbed with the fisherman who is the answer to Question #1?
- How many colleges did Taylor report that Randy Moseley attended before turning to a career in fishing?
- Which Federation angler made a splash in the 1986 Bassmaster Classic?
The answers and winner will be announced Thursday. Good Luck!
