Thanks to All – BFA Awarded Best Bass Fishing Website of 2012

Kent Brown of Ultimate Bass Radio.

Well, I’m not one to beat my own drum but this time I feel I must – in order to thank all of you readers of the Bass Fishing Archives site. A few days ago I received a text from long-time friend, radio host and fellow bass enthusiast, Kent Brown, of Ultimate Bass Radio. The text simply said, “After much consideration, the panel at Ultimate Bass Radio will announce the winner of the best bass fishing webpage…..our sources say you may want to wear a nice shirt to the awards banquet……Oh wait, no money and no banquet…..but you win any way in our 2012 best and worst awards.”

My reply back was, “Best and worst? I guess I know what we got!”

His reply was, “You got the best.”

I want to thank Kent for recognizing us amongst all the great websites out there on the Internet, and there are a lot of great ones out there, and I want to thank each and every one of you readers of the site. It’s a bit humbling to get something like this so early on.

For those of you not familiar with Kent and his show, he’s based out of the Bay Area of California but his show is by no means “regional.” It’s a full-fledged national bass show that airs every Saturday morning at 0500 Pacific Time (That’d be 8:00 AM Eastern Time) where his guests consist of the top tour pros from throughout the country. If you haven’t listened to his show before, you might want to check it out. If you’re on the water on Saturday mornings, no worry. He records his shows and makes them available via the website for you to check out at a later time.

Again, Thank You Kent and every one else for the recognition.

By the way, in response to this, I’ve dug up a couple pictures of Mr. Brown from a few years back and will be posting them on the site here in the next week or so. I think you’ll all find them a bit amusing.
